The French Book Worm recently reviewed The Art of Rebellion, in The Good Life France, an English language magazine about all things French. The review said the novel is a “beautiful story set in France in 1900…through her storytelling she has given the lucky reader not only a wonderful tale but a glimpse into what life was like in the early 1900s”.

A copy of The Art of Rebellion has been entered into the catalogue of research resources at the Louvre Museum in Paris. Below, on the right, is author Brenda Leahy presenting a copy of her novel to Mme. Francoise Mardrus, Director of the Dominique-Vivant Denon research centre, Musee du Louvre.

The Art of Rebellion was featured in the Historical Novels Review, November 2016 issue. Excerpts from the positive review include, “In her debut novel, Leahy gives us a charming young girl…Gabbi meets danger with aplomb and wit.” And, “This charming book of manners (think of a French Jane Austen) is entertaining, well-written and surprising.
